Bandon Capital Management is a privately held, Portland, Oregon-based investment management firm focused on the democratization of alternative investment strategies. We believe alternative strategies possess valuable investment characteristics - specifically an absolute return vs. a relative return orientation and a lack of correlation to traditional financial markets - historically only available to elite investors in private partnership structures. After the tech bubble burst in early 2000 the institutional marketplace noted that alternatives had portfolio characteristics that were potentially valuable to their portfolios.
Bandon believes that those return characteristics are not only valuable but should not be relegated to the domain of the ultra-high net worth and large institution.
